Picnic and wine tour
around Modena hills

Have you ever wished to enjoy a Private Picnic in the Vineyard of a Beautiful and Historic Winery Estate?

If yes, keep reading. This is the major activity we are offering in this tour. From Spring to Autumn, the landscape and particularly the vineyards are going to be the setting for a private picnic only for you.
We are going to walk through very ancient vines to learn their story, towards a small private wood in the winery estate to sit an lay free on a blanket and enjoy a picnic outdoor, with the finest artisanal food and wines.
We have packaged a Foodie “Cestino” (picnic basket) especially for you with wine, Parmigiano Reggiano, local bread, Prosciutto, Panino with Bologna Mortadella, and more…. seasonal fruits, to give you some tips.
You can lay down on the picnic cloth and cushions, take your shoes off (if you want) feel free and enjoy the food and wine we have personally selected from the Emilia-Romagna region, meet the winemaker, and share stories, as usual!

Besides, we will take an especially designed itinerary through Castelvetro di Modena and Levizzano Rangone Medieval villages, which are parts of Modena’s Lands of Castles and Cherries and offer stunning views of farmed hills and castles in Modena’s countryside. Views that locals know thanks to the amazing pictures and storytelling posts taken by brothers Luca and Angelo Nacchio, Professional Photographers, creators of Modena&Dintorni Blog, and whom we thank for giving us the beautiful landscape pictures you are watching.
We LOVE Nacchio Brothers’ pictures on the beautiful landscapes of Modena, so amazing! How many times have you looked at a row of grapevines, at a hill all covered with sunflowers and said :”Oh yes, this must be the place where the Nacchio Brothers have taken the picture!”

Sweet hills among Medieval Castles become art paintings especially in Autumn  among endless vineyards of Lambrusco Grasparossa and Trebbiano grape varieties of this area of Modena.
This tour also includes a guided tour with wine tasting to a second artisanal winery producing high-rated natural or organic wines.
Along the Panoramic Wineyard Tour we will make stops (if you wish) to take pictures in and around these lovely Modena areas and leave you a further souvenir to bring back home.
Just one last thing: have you ever heard of or tasted Lambrusco or Pignoletto wines? They might be unknown abroad or still linked to a bad reputation due to a time in the 1970s when they used to be a product of massive wine production.
Well, please, please, forget about it. Obviously, your taste buds may like these wines or not, but what we feel obliged in a way to say that we know many passionate and awarded wine artisans who make high-quality wines in Modena and Bologna, today.
Come and taste their wines and enjoy a very “Green” Wine Tour!
